When You
Visit Dynamic Acupuncture

Ahead of your first appointment, you’ll receive an email link to fill out your new patient paperwork online. This helps us understand your health history and concerns before you arrive, so we can make the most of your time with us.

Your initial visit is a 90-minute comprehensive session, including an in-depth health history, your first treatment, and a personalized treatment plan tailored to your goals. Follow-up visits are 60 minutes, focused on your ongoing progress and adjustments as needed.

Acupuncture’s benefits are cumulative, with results building over a series of treatments. Many patients begin with 6–8 treatments to address their primary concerns, after which we reassess your progress and needs. Acute conditions may require 2–3 treatments per week for faster recovery, while chronic issues often benefit from weekly sessions over a longer period. For preventive or maintenance care, 1–2 visits per month can help keep you feeling your best.

Many insurance plans include acupuncture benefits. We are in-network with most major insurance companies and can also bill many insurance companies out-of-network.

Dynamic Acupuncture is pleased to be a part of the TriWest Community Care Network of acupuncturists for the Portland VA. At Dynamic Acupuncture, we have been participating providers with the VA community care network, formerly called Veteran’s Choice, for several years, and we have worked with veterans for a wide variety of conditions.

We are happy to verify your insurance benefits and bill your insurance company as a courtesy. However, please remember that your insurance is a contract between you and your provider, and it’s important to understand your coverage and benefits. We recommend calling your insurance company directly to confirm that acupuncture is covered and inquire about any limitations or restrictions.

You are responsible for your copay, coinsurance, deductible, and any services not covered by your insurance. While we will work with your insurance, please note that you are ultimately responsible for the payment of all treatments and care provided. Be sure to inform us of any changes to your insurance, so we can keep your records up to date.
