Tara Gregory will be co-hosting a deeply restorative AcuYoga class alongside Emily Dalsfoist at People’s Yoga on NE Killingsworth.
So, What Is AcuYoga?
AcuYoga is a unique 90-minute class that blends gentle yoga and acupuncture to help you fully unwind. The class begins with 50 minutes of mindful, slow-flow yoga, led by Emily. This movement is designed to prepare your body and mind for rest.
After that, you’ll settle into an extended 30-minute savasana (laying comfortably on your back). While you're resting, Tara will come around and gently apply five acupuncture points per person—carefully selected to support sleep, relaxation, and stress relief.
Many people doze off during this portion of class and wake up feeling incredibly refreshed.
Why AcuYoga Works
Both yoga and acupuncture are powerful on their own—but together, they create a deeply synergistic experience. Each helps shift your body from the "fight or flight" response to a "rest and digest" state, where healing and restoration can happen naturally.
