Acupuncture

  • Reduces Pain

  • Decreases Inflammation

  • Improves Range of Motion

  • Increases Functional Ability

  • Reduces Stress and Feelings of Overwhelm

I was referred to Tara for some nagging muscle soreness while training for a marathon. At my first visit, Tara was easily able to not only locate the source of pain, but to quickly release the tension in the area. This was a MAJOR release for me, and the treatment left me feeling more grounded and at peace with myself.

Tara Gregory, Owner and Acupuncturist

Tara (she/her) has been practicing acupuncture since 2011 and loves sharing the benefits of acupuncture with her patients. Tara is experienced in treating both musculoskeletal conditions and internal medicine. She has successfully treated conditions including joint and muscle pain, headaches, menstrual disorders, and digestive distress.

Tara has a background as a yoga teacher and has studied and practiced Buddhist meditation for several years. She incorporates this background into her practice especially when working with patients struggling with anxiety, depression and stress management.

Abby Wollman, Acupuncturist

Abby (she/her) is a Southern California native who now calls the beautiful Pacific Northwest home. She is a licensed acupuncturist, Shiatsu practitioner, clinical herbalist, as well as Taichi and Qigong enthusiast. She enjoys helping her patients carve out a space of safety and healing away from the hustle-bustle of life, and prioritizes patient-centered, trauma-informed care as a means of doing so.

Rachel Hinnen, Acupuncturist

Rachel (she/her) has a special interest in the anatomy the body as well as the body’s hierarchy of needs when it comes to treatments. This deep understanding guides her on how to help the patient’s body release tension more effectively- resulting in pain relief, increased functional ability, and less tension and stress. Rachel treats a wide variety of conditions including anxiety, musculoskeletal pain, hormonal imbalances, digestive issues, and trouble sleeping.

Rachel has extensive training in Shiatsu massage and enjoys incorporating Shiatsu and bodywork into her treatments.

John Braide, Acupuncturist

John (he/him) has thrived in the healthcare field for more than 20 years, specializing in painful and chronic, complex disease, and delving deeply into the root causes of disease, whether it be skin issues, digestive upset, or insomnia. And prior to obtaining his license in acupuncture and Chinese Medicine, he worked as a health care journalist and massage therapist.

Even simple injuries may be the result of a longer-lasting underlying condition that needs to be addressed as well. And, truly, the only way to approach a complex, living being is with humility, openness, persistence, and the belief that the body can do a tremendous amount of healing on its own when given the chance.  John incorporates pulse-taking, abdominal diagnosis, medical qigong and other modalities to do this.

Michelle (Mimi) Denker, Acupuncturist

Mimi (she/her) happily practices acupuncture and has since 2010 in both Salem and Portland. She treats a wide variety of conditions including Women’s health, motor vehicle accident injury support, emotional challenges, musculoskeletal issues, sleep and mood imbalances (including stress and anxiety), and digestive disorders (including food and supplement suggestions).

Mimi enjoys incorporating cupping, tuina stretching, Japanese needling style, and lifestyle recommendations into her treatments.

Morgan Costley, Acupuncturist

Morgan (she/her) is passionate about unraveling the ways in which the body internalizes and reacts to life events and is dedicated to finding the best route for relief based on each person’s unique needs. With a background as both a massage therapist and acupuncturist, Morgan has developed a strong connection with her hands and to their ability to access sources of pain, injury, or disharmony.

Morgan has experience in treating women’s health, chronic and acute musculoskeletal injuries and pain, digestive issues, mental emotional conditions, stress management, and insomnia.
